For several years - until the demands of Eric's growing family took priority - I had the pleasure and honor of serving as the volunteer photographer at a Livestrong-sponsored event called Eric Shanteau's Swim For Your Life. Each September, hundreds of swimmers descended upon Sunset Cove on Georgia's Lake Lanier Islands to swim 5K, 1K, or 500 yards. The event was as much an opportunity to celebrate life as it was to honor lives lost due to cancer.
